It was this quote at Tim Walker’s V&A exhibition ‘Wonderful Things’ in 2019, alongside all the incredible displays by Shona Heath and Tim Walker himself, that stopped us in our tracks and made us re-evaluate.....everything.

A fast paced London existence with two small children, two cats, long hours and a constant ‘on the go’ lifestyle began to wear thin. It was time to breathe again. To take a moment. To be parents for more than a few hours every weekday. Appreciate the things around us.

Albeit a cliche a new life at the British seaside beckoned and in 2018, with a crazy leap of faith, we grabbed our two kids, two cats and jumped in.
Natasha has a background in Fashion as a Handbag Designer for over ten years, with roles including the most recent as Head of Accessories for Acne Studios, senior roles at Burberry and Victoria Beckham amongst others. Alongside always being a full blown flower addict and happy regular at Columbia Road flower market (often requiring a taxi home) a fascination with colour, textures, trims and all things fancy is ingrained.
John has spent the last decade within the technology industry creating and implementing proposals for Health Care organisations throughout Europe. Operationalising Natasha’s creative side (not easy!) is now part of running the day-to-day of the business.
It dawned on us that this complementary mix of skills meant that perhaps we were each others business allies all along. And this is how Appreciation Project was born.

Prepare yourself for all things fancy and all things fabulous. And speaking of fancy, if you still want to hear more about us then head over to our friends at French Connection for a recent feature.

All the love,
Natasha & John
