Manifesto
Natasha Lyon designs homes that are braver with colour than their owners expected to be. She believes a house should tell you something about the person who lives in it, and that most people are closer to that than they think, they just need someone to make the first decision with them.
With over twenty years experience as an accessories designer in luxury fashion, Natasha has worked with many brands such as Acne Studios, Burberry, Victoria Beckham and Loewe. That career built an eye for palette, proportion and the finishing detail that nobody notices and everybody feels. Those are the skills that carried across when she moved into interiors.
Her work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Sunday Times Style, Livingetc, Domino, Remodelista and Homes & Gardens, and House Beautiful.
Founded in Margate in 2020, Appreciation Project began by making dried flower arrangements created to last, and grew into a studio designing full homes, single rooms and its own range of British-made furniture and homewares. The founding instinct has not changed. Everything is made to be kept, whether that is a piece of joinery, a sourced antique given a second life, or a colour scheme that still feels right in ten years.
Your home should look like you and nobody else. I want everything I touch to be worth keeping for a long time to come.
How can we help
We specialise in residential and boutique hospitality projects, working across the entire scheme from colour palette and layout to sourcing, upholstery, bespoke joinery and specification drawings. Rather than clearing out and starting again, we reuse and repurpose wherever we can, and work hand in hand with local makers. No two projects look alike, because no two houses or two families do. Depending on location and scale, this is either remote or in person.
