SUSTAINABILITY

Why is this important to us?

At Appreciation Project, we believe that beautiful spaces shouldn't come at the cost of the planet. As an interior design house, our ethos is rooted in intentionality, longevity, and a deep respect for craftsmanship. We do not design for passing trends; we curate environments and source objects intended to be treasured for a lifetime.

Antique & Vintage Sourcing

We believe the most sustainable object is the one that already exists. A cornerstone of our interior aesthetic is giving beautiful, historic items a new lease of life. By incorporating antique and vintage pieces into our client projects and curated collections, we reduce demand for mass manufacturing, celebrate historical character, and keep exquisite craftsmanship in circulation.

Designed by AP: British Craftsmanship & Heritage Textiles

When we do create new pieces, we keep our footprint intentionally small.

  • The Marble Collection: Our signature marble vases are crafted entirely in Britain. The entire process is meticulously carried out by local craftsmen to create individual, sculptural pieces. Because every single item is artistically handmade, no two are exactly alike - they are true works of art built to endure.
  • Bespoke Soft Furnishings: All of our soft furnishings are carefully handmade here in Britain. We prioritize the use of deadstock, recycled fabrics, or textiles woven within the UK. This drastically reduces transit emissions while directly supporting heritage British craftsmanship.

Mindful Packaging & Circularity

While we advocate for spaces filled with permanent pieces, we are equally rigorous about the footprint of how they arrive. All of our homeware packaging is produced in the UK and selected for its minimal environmental impact.

We design our custom fabric ties to be kept, cherished, and reused inviting you to give them a second life when wrapping a gift for a loved one.
